I am a twenty three year old who has about 15 pounds to lose but I'm not sure if I should do the Adkins. I tried it before and was very constipated. I don't eat red meat(or cook!) so I felt I had limited options. I am also very active-will the Adkins diet provide enough energy? I need help-I am so tired of feeling like this. I can't seem to comit to any diet. Any suggestions?? Thank you. |

I think you can do the adkins without red meat, just go up on chicken, turkey, fish and eggs. those are all better for you than the regular beef at the stores which are grain(!) fed beef. I use ground turkey to make delicious meatballs. good luck! |

The Atkins diet is good. It is the only one beside starvation that I have lost weight on. Read more on what you can eat and how to start. And good luck.:) |

I have found that so long as I have one cup of salad at lunch, and either two cups of salad, or one cup and a cup of permitted vegetables at dinner---AND---have at least 6-8 oz of water with or following each meal, constipation has not been a problem. I think it is the raw vegetables combined with water that helps your intestinal tract to operate. You can also try a sprinkle of wheat bran on your salad or vegetables for more fiber. That helps. |

I do the South Beach Diet. It is much healthier, I think. Go to this website. It tells you all you need to know.
